This beef tallow, which is rendered and clarified fat from cows, is rich in fat-soluble vitamins within fatty acids that resemble the sebum from our own skin. In this way, tallow is not a compound that rests on the surface of the skin for ages, leaving a greasy trail on anything you touch. Tallow absorbs into the skin with ease because of the kindred cellular makeup with our own skin's oils. Naturally anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory, tallow is primarily composed of oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids, which hydrate the skin while carrying vitamins A, D, E, and K- tracked as the most supportive vitamins for cell repair and regeneration. Many experience healing from acne when they include tallow in their skin care routines.
